Perfect Photos makes any photo beautiful in one tap

A new iPhone and iPad gallery from an independent Swiss developer adds one feature to the photo library: Remaster, which gives an ordinary photo the light, colour and finish a professional photographer would have given it.

Switzerland — Perfect Photos is available now on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. It is a complete photo gallery, with the library, albums, Memories, search, video and editing people expect, and one addition: open any photo, tap Remaster, and a few seconds later a finished version appears beside the original.

"Everyone has photos of moments that mattered and didn't come out the way they felt," said Simon Majar, who designed and built Perfect Photos. "Editing apps ask you to learn sliders. I wanted it to take one tap, in the gallery you already use, and look like a real photograph rather than a filter."

One tap, many finishes
Remaster keeps the frame, the people and the moment, and changes what a photographer would change: exposure, light, colour and small distractions. People can keep the default or choose a finish first:
- Natural and Enhanced: balanced light and colour, with clutter such as clothes on the floor tidied away.
- Relight: Golden Hour, Dusk, Portrait Light, Backlit and Teal Night change the light across the scene.
- Looks: Warm Film, Cinematic, Bright & Airy and Moody.
- Reimagine: a fresh composition and new light, for when a photo deserves a second chance.
Results are up to 8 megapixels with HDR. Holding the photo compares it with the original, which is never changed.

A gallery built to feel at home on iPhone
Perfect Photos is built natively for iOS 26 with Liquid Glass. Search in plain words ("dogs at the beach") runs on the device, as do duplicate review, a full editor with film stocks and LUTs, and an HDR button that turns a standard photo into an HDR one. Time Capsules sets favourite photos and videos in glass cards on a wall to drift through; on iPhone 17 Pro and 18 Pro models, each photo gains depth as the phone tilts.

Private by design
Nothing leaves the device until someone taps Remaster, and then only that photo, with location, camera details and file name removed. Perfect Photos' servers never store photos. There are no ads and no tracking, and Perfect Photos does not train models on anyone’s photos.

Pricing and availability
Perfect Photos is free to download, and the gallery, editor, search and Time Capsules are free to use. Remaster starts with a 3-day free trial including 5 remasters, then Plus (15 remasters a month, $9.99 a month or $69.99 a year), Pro (35 a month plus upscaling to 8 MP, $19.99 a month or $149.99 a year), or packs of remasters that never expire, from $6.99. It requires iOS 26 or later and is available in English and French.
